How do I place an order? We only accept orders over the phone or in person. You may inquire about orders by e-mailing email@example.com but all final orders must be made by phone during hours of operation (Tuesday-Thursday 11am-9pm, Friday 11am-12am, Saturday 10am-12am).
Is it possible to order specialized cupcakes or cakes? Of course! As long as we have adequate time, we’d be more than happy to specialize a cake or cupcakes for your event. We can duplicate logos, characters, designs, patterns…basically whatever you dream up, we can do!
Is there a minimum/maximum I must order? No minimum order unless it is for a delivery, in which case we have a $50 minimum. No maximum order unless adequate time/product is not available.
Is there a savings if I order more? Our regular sized cupcakes are $3.00 each, but once you purchase a dozen the cost is only $33.00.
Do you deliver? Absolutely! $50 is our minimum to deliver and we attach a note or candle at no extra expense, if desired. Delivery fees: Downtown Des Moines: FREE | $1 per mile outside Des Moines
How far in advance do I need to order? Assuming there’s no special requirements or ingredients needed, the typical time frame is as follows: 2pm the day before for cupcakes, cookies, bars, brownies, and cinnamon rolls. 2pm two days prior for cakes.
If I order in advance, can I order any flavor? You may select flavors from another day, but we do require a dozen minimum. Seasonal cupcakes can be ordered anytime if adequate time is allowed and a dozen minimum.
Can I place an order for cupcakes on the same day I need them? If you need cupcakes for that day- we suggest calling or coming in early to set them aside for you. Otherwise, the retail bakery is first come, first serve.
How do I contact you? General questions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org or you can always call the store (515-288-1050) during business hours and ask one of the staff. If questions are regarding special events or weddings, please e-mail email@example.com and speak with our event coordinator.
Are you a nut/gluten-free facility? No. We make products with nuts, dairy, soy, and gluten on a regular basis. However, we can provide a nut-free or gluten-free product upon request.
What are your gluten-free offerings? Most of our cupcakes can easily be made into gluten-free upon request if an order has been set up. At night we serve a Flourless Chocolate Torte by the slice. Please see our GLUTEN FREE/VEGAN section.
Do you only offer cupcakes for weddings? No. While cupcakes are a nice alternative for wedding desserts, we do offer tiered cakes, sheet cakes, and dessert bars for weddings as well as special occasions.
How do I schedule a tasting for my wedding/special event? Call the store at 515-288-1050 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Tastings are $25 for two people.
Do you sell gift certificates? Yes. They are available for purchase at the registers in our retail location and make for a great gift! If out of town, we can also take credit card information over the phone and mail them at no extra charge.
Do you donate to charity? Yes. Any product left at the end of the day is boxed and donated to the shelters around the area. We also stay very involved in the community and the great city of Des Moines. Click here for a donation form.
Desserts for Donations
In a continuing effort to support nonprofits in our community, Crème is launching “Desserts for Donations” fundraiser program.
You pick either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for your event, then promote that day to all of your friends and family! When your friends and family mention your organization on the scheduled day of the event, 10% of their purchase will be donated directly back to your organization. “Desserts for Donations” is a fun and easy way for Crème to assist you in raising funds for your nonprofit (register 501c3).
Please contact Crème for more information about scheduling your ‘Desserts for Donation’ day: 515-288-1050 or email@example.com.
What forms of payment do you accept? Most major credit cards, Dwolla, checks, gift certificates, and cash.
Did you forget something in the oven?…I smell burning. Actually, it’s our neighbors at Zanzibar roasting their coffee beans.
What’s the dessert lounge? At night, customers seat themselves and are waited on by the staff, where their order is taken at the table. Offerings at night include plated desserts, craft cocktails, espressos, and beer/wine, etc.
